As tourism continues to recover after the Covid pandemic, more TUI flights from the UK to Sal are announced. Starting in November 2023, they will be flying once a week from Newcastle, Glasgow and East Midland’s airports. Currently, they are flying to Cape Verde from four UK airports, this increase to seven demonstrates growing confidence in the travel industry. The flights from Newcastle will be on Tuesday; from Glasgow on Friday and from East Midlands on Saturday. In addition to flying from these UK airports, TUI also fly to Sal from several German cities (Düsseldorf, Munich/München, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Hannover), Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Brussels, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki and Copenhagen.
TUI flies to Boa Vista from three UK airports (Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester) and also from Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich/München, Stuttgart, Hannover, Amsterdam, Brussels and Stockholm. Finally they fly from Amsterdam to São Vicente. Of the four international airports in Cape Verde, São Vicente has the fewest international flights.
It will be interesting to see whether more routes are added next winter, now that the covid restrictions have been lifted. Cape Verde needs the tourists and so these additional routes will be good news for the people of Cape Verde.
